About

This ongoing series expands upon fundamental obedience by encompassing the socialization process. It focusing on the application of obedience amidst distractions and various stimuli through a broad range of exercises and refined behaviors to enhance a dog's adaptability, responsiveness, and etiquette.

This ongoing class examines various curriculums for each series. Students interested in ongoing training are encouraged to join.

Prerequisites

Completion of Basic Obedience, or consent of instructor or through a class placement evaluation. If you feel your dog may qualify for this class, contact us to to inquire about approval for advanced placement into this course. If you are unsure, request an evaluation.

Hosted by our charitable giving program, the Love At First Sit® Initiative. This community class provides accessible training support for dog guardians as part of our ongoing outreach efforts.

This class is not a substitute for our 6 week series, or a puppy class.

Our classes adher to the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) position statement on humane dog training, employing exclusively fear-free, force-free, and reward-based methods grounded in the most current and authoritative scientific evidence.

Class Placement Evaluations

All dogs must begin in either Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Obedience, as appropriate to age. If you feel your dog is more advanced and should be placed out of a beginner’s course, contact us directly. Or if you're not sure what class level your dog is ready for, you may request a group dog training class placement evaluation.
